Achieving is Believing!
As I reflect on this past week, it was a week of achieving… I was able to bridge some working relationships and I found some good, consistent success with my wellness goals. Truth be told, I had a graduation party this weekend, and then I took a “lazy day” today, but I am feeling solid, knowing that I am in a better mindset to begin again tomorrow. This week, I want to create and to write, so that is my goal! I have a small “assemblage” project that I’m working on which will include some timeline photos of my kiddos. I’m still not sure how much mixed media I will introduce, but as soon as I get the work in progress photos, I will share them here and they will also live on the Creativity area of this blog site.
I’m feeling fortunate – there is much work to do, but I feel that everything will be okay, and it’s been a long time since I have felt that way. I have a saying that lives above my front door that says “Do one thing each day that makes you happy.” Time to get started on that! Have a great week! -jg

Letting It All GO!
I have a wonderful meditation CD that I’ve had for a while and I still listen to it, mostly in the car on the way to work. They are from a spiritual healer named Rev. Martina Schmidt, and I love them! The meditations are intended to be done in a quiet, uninterrupted place, but even in the car they do help! π
Sometimes it is hard to let go of the daily stresses or take time to appreciate all the things we are so grateful for. When there is a moment in the day to let everything go, it is so worthwhile!
Today’s inspiration: I had the chance to see one of my Cast Members perform today in a role that he was so excited about getting trained for. He was flawless! In 95-degree heat, I had goosebumps because I was so proud of him! Those moments are the best!
Another successful day of eating! I also took the stairs all day today! Small victories!

Being a Better “Me” Tomorrow
I let some work nonsense get the better of me today. I’m a big proponent of taking the “high road”, but today the ridiculous side of our business was a bit more present than normal. I’m committed to keeping myself separate from work, since the job does not define me. But sometimes, it’s not so easy.
Some good news: I had another successful day with eating today! One day at a time, as the saying goes! π I have to remember that I am human, and will never be perfect. If today wasn’t my best, then I start again tomorrow and be better than I was yesterday. With that, I will head off to sleep to refuel. Good night!

May 14, 2018
So, today I DID achieve some of the goals that I had set for myself the day before… I didn’t take the whole 2 hours of creative time, since I am in a “block” at the moment. BUT, I did get a plethora of materials and supplies out and ready for when the spark hits me! (see my “Creativity” section for updates)
Nap, check!
Healthier eating and more water, check!
I am going to color up some zentangle patterns this evening for just some relaxation time! :
My hope is that this week will be one for “creating myself”.

I feel that tomorrow, I deserve the following:
- 2 hours of creative time (I will post what I create, or at least the work in progress!)
- An afternoon nap (zzz!)
- A full day of eating healthy and drinking infused water
Have a great evening!
