Thanks for joining me! This is my first attempt at making a creatively-expressive place online, and I’m super excited!
Our lives are always full of “reflective moments”, and today I had a big one… My life status summary is the following: I’m a married middle-aged mom of two teenagers & a feisty miniature schnauzer, I work in the Entertainment industry (great job, but definitely has its challenges!), and I’m feeling stifled by the fact that I’m not the best version of myself that I can be. That ends today!
Starting May 13, 2018: I am going to give myself the attention (and the credit) that I deserve for working hard and for achieving some pretty awesome things in this life so far. Furthermore, I will allow myself to reap some just rewards… I deserve some “me” time, some creative time, and a license to take a break from work when I am not at work.
(Dang! That felt good!)
So here goes! I’m doing this mostly for me, but I also hope that there will be others who will benefit from this place of creatively becoming our best selves! Building a community of creators and a place to mentally recharge from the daily grind sounds pretty good, doesn’t it? Let’s do it! -jg
